The weekend of March 20th and 21st brought together 25 players presenting five different countries to battle for the title of the first ever Krosmaster Arena World Champion. The format of the event was a round robin style group stage where the lowest scoring member of each group would exit the event and then move on to a standard double elimination tournament. The event was broadcast live over Twitch.TV in English for the entire world to see. The Videos are currently available as previous broadcasts on Twitch, but should be posted to YouTube shortly after the writing of this article.Thursday, April 2, 2015

Cats vs Iops: The Eternal Struggle
The game this week was a little different than normal. I
recently came to the conclusion that I have purchased too many little plastic
people and that for me to be able to bring everything I want to for game night,
I would need to reorganize my bag. One important note that you, the trusty
reader, should take from this is make sure you repack your character cards
after a hearty reorganizing. It really sucks not having them, because then you
end up buying a foil set of season 1 cards and last minute scraping a team
together. Thursday, March 19, 2015
The Big Picture: Looking back at the 2014 Spanish Nationals
Metagame or “meta” for short is one of those words you will
probably encounter while playing any game with a competitive component to it.
It’s also a word that has several meanings within any game. In most cases it
refers to a strong team or strategy on either a local, national, or global
level.
Discussing the meta
is often a mechanism to either stagnate or stimulate growth in a community. In
some cases people look at event results and take them as the absolute final judgment
of what teams or strategies are good or bad, which can stifle creativity. At Lock
Check we believe that while some teams are powerful, nothing is unbeatable
against solid play and critical thinking and with that we often find ourselves
experimenting with more unorthodox pairings. We’re not Hipsters, we’re
Pioneers! With that being said I’d like to look at the Spanish National championships that have happened recently.

Krosmaster Storage

Storage. While not a complete sentence is a complete and complex idea that can be a major factor in our favorite game du jour: Krosmaster. There are many things that need to be considered when trying to store all of these wonderfully painted and produced miniatures, not the least of which include: price, mobility, portability, dimensions of the models, and model safety. With this, my debut post, I would like to talk about what I went through and, more importantly, what came out of my own deliberations on the subject.
